CommunityConnect Terms of Use

Purpose

CommunityConnect is a mobile app intended to help adults (18+) who live at or take part in services at 180 Degrees sites receive announcements, submit feedback, and find community-resource information (the “App”).

The App is used solely for general informational and administrative purposes related to your participation in services at 180 Degrees sites. It is not used for the provision, coordination, or management of health care services or treatment

Not an emergency service

CommunityConnect, its feedback form, and its support channels are not emergency or confidential crisis-reporting services. If there is immediate danger, call 911. If you are in emotional distress or crisis, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline), available 24/7.

Acceptance of these Terms of Use

By downloading, installing, and accessing or using the App, you accept these Terms of Use and agree to be bound by them. By using the App, you represent that you are capable of entering into a binding agreement, and that you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and Privacy Policy, which are incorporated into and forms part of these terms. Use of the App is strictly voluntary. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

Accounts

Provide accurate information needed to operate your account and keep sign-in credentials private. Do not share passwords, verification codes, Apple or Google credentials, or authentication tokens with 180 Degrees staff or other users.

You may delete your account from Settings → Delete Account in the App or use the account deletion request page.

Appropriate use

Use CommunityConnect in a way that does not impersonate another person, interfere with the app or its supporting services, attempt unauthorized access, or submit unlawful, threatening, or intentionally harmful content. Feedback is reviewed by authorized staff and should not include unnecessary sensitive information. Do not submit health information, medical records, treatment details, or other sensitive personal information through the App. 180 Degrees is not responsible for sensitive information you choose to include in feedback or other communications through the App.

Eligibility

CommunityConnect is intended for adults age 18 or older who live at or participate in services at 180 Degrees sites. If you are under 18, do not use the App or provide any information through it. If we learn we have collected or received personal information from a child under 18 without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information and the associated account. If you believe we might have any information from or about a child under 18, please contact us through CommunityConnect Support (communityconnect@180degrees.org).

Feedback you submit

When you submit feedback through the App, you grant the Operator a non-exclusive, royalty-free right to use, review, and act on that feedback for program improvement and operational purposes. The Operator will handle feedback in accordance with the App’s Privacy Policy. Feedback will not be anonymous if you include identifying details in your submission.

Ownership and intellectual property

The App, its design, content, announcements, resource information, and underlying technology are owned by or licensed to 180 Degrees, Inc. You may use the App for its intended purpose. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from the App or its content without prior written permission from the Operator.

Announcements and resource information

180 Degrees aims to keep announcements and resource links useful and current, but schedules, availability, eligibility, contact details, and third-party content can change. Confirm important information directly with the relevant program or provider. CommunityConnect does not replace professional medical, mental-health, legal, housing, or emergency advice.

Suspension or termination of access

180 Degrees may suspend or terminate your access to the App if you violate these terms, if your participation in 180 Degrees programs ends, or if continued access poses a security or operational concern. If your access is terminated, you may still request deletion of your account data as described in the Privacy Policy. Termination of App access does not affect your housing status, program participation, or any rights you have under applicable law.

Third-party services

CommunityConnect uses third-party services for authentication, database hosting, announcements, feedback, and notifications. Their availability and handling of information are also governed by their own terms and privacy notices.

Disclaimer

CommunityConnect is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. 180 Degrees does not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components, or that announcements, resource information, or other content will be accurate, complete, or current. To the fullest extent permitted by law, 180 Degrees disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Minnesota law, 180 Degrees, its officers, directors, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the App, reliance on announcements or resource information, unauthorized access to your data, or any other matter related to the App. This limitation applies regardless of the theory of liability.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these terms or your use of the App will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Hennepin County, Minnesota.

Changes to these terms

180 Degrees may update these Terms of Use when the App, its providers, or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated. Material changes will be communicated in a manner approved by 180 Degrees. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
